Organic Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is the most potent and health-giving of all vinegars and has many well-known health promoting properties. It works by boosting the health of the individual with its nutritional qualities and contains the “Mother” which is full of beneficial bacteria for additional healing properties.
Our Halls Range of Vinegars are made from Organically grown apples in sunny Nelson and the Vinegar is Unfiltered, Unpasteurised and Aged for at least one year to ensure the full development of the “Mother”.
Scientists have found that apple cider vinegar contains Pectin for cholesterol balance and many minerals, including: potassium, chlorine, sodium, magnesium, calcium, sulphur, iron, fluoride and silicon. It helps to balance the acid-alkaline balance in the body and can be helpful for digestion. Topically, it can be used to support the healing of minor burns and wounds.
The time-honoured recipe for general well-being is to mix one to two teaspoons of Halls apple cider vinegar in a glass of warm water, and take first thing in the morning.
Others believe that two teaspoons of Halls apple cider vinegar in a glass of water should be taken before each meal (three times a day).
Honey can be added to the drink to improve the taste. Manuka honey will naturally boost the tonic. Start with one teaspoonful and increase, if desired.
Halls Apple Cider Vinegar can also be used as a gargle for dry throats. Add 1 teaspoon to a glass of lukewarm water and gargle 2 mouthfuls every hour. Swallow the liquid after gargling.
