Halls Apple Cider Vinegars are made from fresh NZ sun-ripened apples that are carefully fermented to convert the natural sugars of the apple to alcohol. This hard cider is fermented again, to change the alcohol to acetic acid. Many of the nutritional benefits of the apple are retained in this process. Halls Apple Cider Vinegars are organic, unfiltered, unpasteurised, aged at least one year and contain the ‘Mother’ – strands of proteins, enzymes and friendly bacteria that give the vinegar it’s characteristic cloudy appearance.
Apple cider vinegar is the most potent and health-giving of all vinegars and has many well-known health promoting properties. It works by boosting the health of the individual with its nutritional qualities, promoting digestive health, immune support and overall wellbeing.
The time-honoured recipe for general well-being is to mix one to two teaspoons of Halls apple cider vinegar in a glass of warm water, and take first thing in the morning.
Others believe that two teaspoons of Halls apple cider vinegar in a glass of water should be taken before each meal (three times a day).
